About me
For over 20 years Sunita has been curious about how chocolate can be a vehicle to increase empathy, engage customers around global supply chains, find business models that implicitly are a win-win for every member of the cacao-to-chocolate supply chain and HAVE FUN while doing it! That is what she calls Happy Chocolate. The Chocolate Garage opened in 2010 in downtown Palo Alto, when there were only a handful of bean to bar makers, and a $6 price was shocking to customers. Over the next many years she built relationships with makers, customers and farmers, education and team building Silicon Valley tech companies and their employees to taste, appreciate and buy Happy Chocolate. Dozens of co-branded bars were funded by customers through The Chocolate Garage, balancing the risk with customers to get exclusive 1000 bar batches that were exclusive to customers.
For many years she led trips to cocoa origins to further engage her geeky adventuresome customers. She now does seasonal holiday collections, and is working on the intersection of drinking chocolate, decolonial business models and women's healing work.
